Have you ever broken a bone? If not, what's the worst injury you've sustained?
No, the closest I've come to a broken bone was a fracture. The side of my foot, near my pinky toe: right foot. Did it, apparently, in martial arts, and was off it for about a month and a half, missing testing for my green belt. Used crutches for 2 weeks, borrowed from a friend, but I never went to the doctor for it. We all just figured that they'd x-ray it and not be able to do anything for it. That was in later 2002, for about 3-4 years after that, it would ache like something horrible right before any rains, sometimes up to two days before we'd get rain. It doesn't do that anymore now, yay.
What question do you hate being asked?
It's not so much specific questions (although "so when are you going to have another kid?" is getting very very old) as much as it is either being asked the same question over and over again (hence a certain four-year-old who really is driving me nuts today with that one) or being asked a question from a third party about what I am talking to about with someone else at the time. Oh, and I hate hate hate being on the phone and getting "who is it?" because that always comes from a certain husband who, if I do the same thing, only waves his arms angrily at me yet gets annoyed with me if I don't tell him who I'm talking to. He's in fact gone to saying, "who is it?" as soon as my phone rings before I even know who it is because, according to him, I won't tell him if he waits longer. Oh, I also hate being asked, "so, did you do [whatever it is] yet?" Most of the time when I'm asked that, it's in regards to something I wasn't asked to do in the first place, but something that was suggested as "we should do that." A lot is bugging me today, can't you tell??
What is a childhood memory that still haunts you?
This is stupid but I can't stand to look at that doll from Child's Play which is why I'm not posting a photo to go with this post. Mom swears this didn't happen but I know it did. We were at Grandpa's farm when I was 6 and Mom and I were in the kitchen, little brother in bed, and dad, grandpa, and an uncle were watching TV. The uncle is younger, he had on Child's Play though my Grandpa kept telling him to change it. And I kept seeing parts of it. For several years I was then terrified that there was something under my bed even though I always knew it wasn't true. I'd close my door -- cause I always slept with it closed -- then take a quick running jump from the door to the bed, no walking by the bed! It didn't help that the next day after all of this we went to see Ghostbusters II in the theater. Today, Ghostbusters is hilarious for me, but then, the day after Chuckie entered my life? Forget it, it just made things worse. Pink stuff coming out of the bathtub instead of water, a deranged painting coming to life, you get the idea. A certain sister-in-law thinks it's hilarious to torment me with Chuckie whenever she gets the chance. One of these days she's going to lose a finger. He just gives me the shivers.
Where do you want to be in ten years?
Submitted by baby3194.
In ten years our house will be paid off which is great but I hope to be in a different house before then, one with enough room! Hopefully out of the city limits, and with no immediate neighbors.
By the time ten years rolls around we also should have paid off our home equity loan so I also hope to be 100% debt free. We're already doing good with the no unsecured debt now, but need to pay off that loan!
E will be 14 in ten years and I hope not to have to be dealing with a lot of rebellion. Eek.
So um, yeah.
Show us a photograph from a wedding.

So here, instead, is a picture from when my grandparents got married. The only wedding-ish photo I've seen of them. (I can thank my grandpa's second wife, who was jealous of the dead woman before her, for this.)
I love this photo :)

Apparently, it was this:

That's the camera I want to get and I'm chatting with someone online and we're talking about cameras. This stemmed from the discovery I made that all the photos from this weekend are crap due to some greasy fingerprints that seem to have found their way onto my camera lens. I think I have a certain four-year-old to thank for that. It's funny how it also didn't show up until I downloaded the photos...
We'll see soon on the camera I think. Have to get past some big financial obligations and such as buying our vehicle, etc, first. But not sure what's going to happen. Husband and I are butting heads: he thinks we need to buy a nice video camera first whereas I say he doesn't know what he's talking about.
What have you tried in life that you just weren't very good at?
I am just not very domestic, I guess you could say. I mean, I can cook, but I don't like to. Maybe that will change if we ever move to a house with a decent-sized kitchen, who knows. I've tried both crochet and sewing before and I'm just not that good at either. When I was supposed to make table cloths for my candle booth tables? I couldn't even sew with the machine in a straight line. Husband made the table cloths and my mother-in-law made the fitted ones I use now. I used to be really good at cross stitch but haven't done it in years. Maybe I've lost my will to try things like that. I'm not great at patching his jeans, either. I just stink at it all. I'm also not a very great house keeper overall I think, haha. I guess I just have talents in other areas. Who knows? Or maybe I'm too hard on myself with the house cleaning?
